Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Redding Key & Lock ("we," "us," or "our"), an independent local referral service serving Redding, Anderson, Shasta Lake, Cottonwood, Bella Vista, Palo Cedro, California, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit reddingkeyandlock.com or submit a request through our site. Redding Key & Lock connects you with independent, third-party locksmith professionals — we are not the locksmith performing your service.
Information We Collect
When you submit a request through our site, we collect the information you provide directly, which typically includes your name, phone number, ZIP code or service address, and a description of the locksmith service you need. When you browse our site, we also collect standard technical and analytics data (see "Cookies & Tracking Technologies" below).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit to match you with an independent, local locksmith professional who serves your area and can handle the type of job you described, and to communicate with you about your request by phone, text (SMS), or email.
SMS / Text Messaging Program
If you provide your mobile number and opt in through our lead form's consent checkbox, Redding Key & Lock may send you text messages related to your locksmith request — for example, confirming your request or letting you know a provider will be in touch. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages, or reply HELP for help. Opting in to SMS is never required to submit a request or receive service — you can always call us or use the form without checking the SMS box.
Consent for a specific independent provider to contact you directly by automated text or call is separate from consent to hear from Redding Key & Lock itself: if your request is matched to a provider not already named to you when you submitted it, we obtain fresh, provider-specific consent before that provider sends you any automated marketing message.
Sharing Your Information
Your phone number and other request details are shared only with the specific independent, third-party locksmith provider(s) needed to fulfill your request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your SMS opt-in data with any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate our site and communications (for example, hosting or call-tracking vendors), bound by confidentiality obligations, and when required by law.
Call Recording & Monitoring
California is an all-party consent state for recording telephone calls (California Penal Code § 632): a call may not be recorded unless everyone on the line consents. If calls to or from our tracked number are recorded or monitored — for example, for quality assurance or to confirm a request — you will be notified at the start of the call, and by continuing the call after that notice you are providing your consent to be recorded. If you do not consent, let the person on the call know, or simply do not continue past the notice.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our site uses standard analytics cookies and similar technologies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site and to help us improve it. These tools may collect information like your approximate location, browser and device type, and pages visited. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's own browser add-on. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our site function.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect the information you provide. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Your Rights & Choices
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us not to contact you further by phone or email through our Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information — for example, California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, or correct it. To make a request, contact us through the Contact page and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Our site and services are directed to adults and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
